Each Moment is Sweeter with Honeycomb

I remember the first time I tried honeycomb. I love trying new things, so I was really excited. I watched the bees as they worked on a honeycomb displayed in a glass case. There was something rather magical and beautiful about the uniform cells on the comb and the amber glow of the honey in the sunlight.

I purchased a piece in a small, plastic box at the Common Ground Fair. The taste of organic honey was so splendid. It was sweet and floral and much better than the honey found in the bear shaped bottles at the grocery store. I rarely find honeycomb locally and it has been a long time since I’ve been to the annual Common Ground Fair, so I was very excited to learn that I would be able to review Honey Land Honeycomb!

Disclaimer: I received Honey Land Honeycomb at a deep discount in exchange for my honest, and unbiased review. All opinions are my own. I did not receive any other compensation.

The Honey Land Honeycomb is the biggest piece of honeycomb that I’ve ever seen sold as a single unit. I was splendidly surprised and happy with the size of this honeycomb since I tried it and it was delicious. It was big enough to enjoy the sweet, decadent taste for days.

Love me some #honeycomb This one was huge, fresh, and delicious! #gotitatadiscount #forhonestreview

The only downside I found with this honeycomb was the packaging. Although it proudly and beautifully displays the honeycomb, it has a plastic tape-like seal which was a bit frustrating and difficult to remove but also allowed a little of the honey to escape so the case, although well-protected in bubble-wrap, arrived a bit sticky.

This honeycomb is all-natural and organic and no pesticides or herbicides are used with the bees. Thankfully I didn’t find any dead bees in my case of honeycomb (after reading a bit more about honeycomb online, apparently, this is an issue that some people have encountered with honeycombs before); I was happy that my honeycomb arrived beautifully with none of its makers! The comb is raw and unprocessed. Pieces of the comb can be enjoyed on toast, crackers, and yogurt, but I enjoy it simply by itself. You can just break off a piece and pop it in your mouth. Chewing it for a bit releases all of the flavor and nutrients stored in the wax (you simply spit out the wax after).

Overall, this honeycomb was superb! The flavor was even better than I remembered! I would definitely recommend it to those who like honey, love honeycomb, and those who have never tried it.
